For Valentine's Day we offer up the legendary gift of EXCALIBUR... but mainly Helen Mirren in all her black magic glory. To do so we welcome an Arthurian legend expert, Josh Dotson of SOBER CINEMA. And when we say "expert" we mean someone who isn't shocked by the criminal ways in which King Arthur is conceived in this John Boorman fever dream of a film. As we recover from that shock we try to chart the many grand gestures seen in this film: the drawing of a sword, the coming of the king, the search for the Grail, and Helen Mirren.
